El Paso, TX – As we approach the November 2024 General Election, the El Paso County Elections Department wants to remind all eligible voters that the last day to register to vote is this upcoming Monday, October 7, 2024. Our office will continue to receive walk-in’s that would like to register to vote during regular business hours and our office will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024.

  • El Paso County Elections Department, 500 E. San Antonio Ave., Suite 314, El Paso, Texas 79901.

Ballots for this election will include the El Paso County Water Control and Improvement District No. 4, Anthony ISD, Canutillo ISD, Clint ISD, Fabens ISD, Town of Anthony, City of El Paso, City of Socorro, Federal, State, County and County Hospital District.

It’s vital that every voice is heard, and participating in the electoral process is one of the most powerful ways to make an impact. Every eligible citizen can shape our country through their vote, but that power begins with registration.

Key Registration Details:

  • Deadline: Monday, October 7, 2024
  • Eligibility for Registration: To register, you must register to vote in the county in which you reside, be a citizen of the United States, be 18 years of age by Election Day, not be a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole), and not be declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
  • How to Register: Applicants can download an application, English or Spanish, from our website, https://epcountyvotes.com/voter-information/voter-registration. Applications are also available at any United States Post Office, the Department of Public Safety, El Paso Public Libraries, Texas Health and Human Services Commission offices and any local high school.

After an application is processed, a Voter Registration Certificate, will be mailed within 30 days as required under Texas law.

We would also like to remind voters that if they moved to a new residence or need to make a name and or/address change, it is their responsibility to notify our office by completing a new application or by completing a Statement of Residence when voting in-person.

If already registered, voters can use our new website feature, My Voter Dashboard, where voters can easily check their voter registration status. Voters will be asked to enter their first and last name and date of birth or enter their Voter Unique Identifier, VUID Number, which is located on the voter’s Voter Registration Certificate.
